2009 City Chase Edmonton : Another year, another City Chase. Our 5 year streak of participating in every Edmonton City Chase was in jeopardy as Jen was due to give birth... well, right around Chase time. Lucky for Ed, the due date was pushed back a bit, Jen showed very few signs of early labour so Ed was able to compete (with the cell phone volume cranked to maximum of course). In honour of this, we changed our team name to "If We're Not At The Finish Line, It's Because Ed's Wife Is Giving Birth". Another fun year on the course.

2008 City Chase Calgary : We're back!! OK - we never left, we just left our camera at home for the past couple years. But not this year!! High of +10C, 50mm of rain, we were cold and soaked to the skin, and had an absolute blast! Oh yeah - we ran a good race too.

2008 City Chase Edmonton : After a couple year hiatus, City Chase photos are back! No - we didn't take a hiatus from City Chase. We just took a hiatus from taking pictures!! It was a fun day once again - and we are still amazed at the things we will do for a free beer at the end of the day.

2006 Leduc Women's Triathlon : Thinking going up and down Groat Road 4 times was too easy, Jenny decided to tackle the Leduc Women's Only triathlon - known for being only one of two women's triathlons in the province (Strathmore is the other one) and also for some really BIG hills on the bike course.

Not too many photos unfortunately because the photographer was helping out on the bike course. For the record - it was NOT me that sent four riders to Beaumont!!

2006 Coronation Triathlon : Once again, Jenny started her race season with the 22nd Annual Coronation Triathlon. Why wasn't Ed participating? It was City Chase weekend for him... yeah, that's it. Our Running Room friends Geoff and Taletta were also entered and I've included photos of them as well.

2005 City Chase Calgary : If you do City Chase Edmonton, it just seems wrong not to run City Chase Calgary! So Mike and I continued our tour. We finished in 107th place out of 244 teams in a time of 5 hr 59 min. We were pretty happy with that considering only 113 teams managed to finish the race (collecting 10 checkpoints) in the alloted time of 6:15. The Calgary course was MUCH longer than Edmonton's this year. And for next year... did somebody say Victoria???

2005 City Chase Edmonton : City Chase is a Canadian urban adventure race series that is essentially a one-day version of the Amazing Race. Teams of two hit the city using only their feet (as in running) or public transit. The goal is to collect 10 out of 15 possible "chasepoints" by travelling to various destinations around the city and performing a task - some are physical, some are mental, some are just plain strange. But it's a ton of fun. This is the City Chase's 2nd year. I did Edmonton last year with Jenny and Calgary with Mike. This year, it was Mike all the way. We even remembered to bring a camera this year. Too bad we forgot to use it for most of the race but at least these pics give you an idea of what City Chase is all about!

2005 Coronation Triathlon : We've done the Coronation Triathlon for years now as a team (usually Jenny, myself and our friend Karen) but Jenny ditched the team this year and did it herself! 1km swim, 25km bike, 8km run.
